A structured, laid-back happy hour where you actually get to meet people—with a light touch of matchmaking thrown in. Not speed dating, not a party. We call it “ease with depth.”

How it works

• 7:00 PM Arrive +welcome drinkon thesun terrace (wine/beer/sparkling wine/non-alcoholic drinks included) +
• 7:30 PM Quickicebreaker mingles (in small groups—we mix English and German naturally)

• 9:00 PMMatch reveal (using NYC-developed matching technology)
• Important: You’ll fill out a short, science-backed questionnaire 24 hours in advance (based on the work of Aron, Gottman, et al.). Our matching tech pairs you with the person in the room you’re most likely to click with—the match is revealed via WhatsApp.
• 9:00 PM–10:30 PM: Openmingling—just be yourself!

Details on the matching technology

Before:

1. Buy your ticket
2. Receive a short personality questionnaire via email 24 hours in advance
3. Our algorithm finds your most compatible match—but you won’t know who it is until the night unfolds

At the event:

4. You’ll get subtle clues to help you find your match

5. At the end, we’ll reveal your match (on WhatsApp)—and it’s up to you from there

For the skeptics

• Will I feel comfortable?Yes. That’s what we’re here for—the format does the heavy lifting—you don’t have to “work the room.”
• Who’s coming?About 60 guests, mostly in their late 20s to early 40s. Straight pairings this time.
• Languages? BothGerman and English are totally welcome.
• What if I don’t get a match? Ourevents are usually sold out and gender-balanced. Life happens, so a perfect 50/50 split isn’t guaranteed. That’s why we also offer friend matching as a backup—if the romantic spark isn’t there, you’ll still leave with new people in your circle.
• Can I bring a friend?Absolutely—especially if they’re also single.
• Is it exclusive?A little. We keep things small and partly invite-only.
