With their soft and dreamy psychedelic soul, Theodor are no longer an insider tip. Their music, which combines silky synthesizers with cheerful, melodic bass lines and the driving grooves of 70s soul and funk, can now be found in record stores from Tokyo to San Francisco and takes them on tour from Darmstadt through half of Europe. Theodor named themselves after a 24-year-old cat, whose presence during the recording of their highly acclaimed debut album cast a very special spell over the band's sound. With Holocene, Theodor have now released their second album. On it, they tell stories that hint at something greater between self-reflection, thoughts of deceased friends and contemplation of the cosmos. Musically, they create an almost cinematic atmosphere that stimulates the imagination and brings back memories of hot and humid summer days.
