A band that sounds like no other: cool, modern and with a lot of humor. The compositions of band leader and bassist Florian Werther are original, intricate and at the same time casual and funky. Catchy melodies over mostly odd meters are in tune with the times. The unusual line-up of trumpet, electric guitar, bass and drums creates a new, individual sound that has never been heard before. The four seasoned professionals manage the feat of making these intricate rhythms flow so easily from the instruments as if it were the easiest thing in the world.

The band, led by Mainz-based double bassist Florian Werther, has been around since 2007. All four musicians are well known in the jazz scene in the Rhine-Main region, where they are involved in a wide variety of projects such as big bands, theater music and their own formations. The band's repertoire consists mainly of Werther's own compositions.

"Innenstadtjazz" is the apt title of their debut album. For this concert, the quartet will be presenting mainly new compositions.
