Colbinger - voice, songwriter, lyricist and guitarist from southern Germany.
He calls his songs Erinnerer und Gefährten. He interweaves elements of country and folk with a pinch of blues and the lightness of funk to create his unmistakable personal style of acoustic rock. Powerfully accentuated and driving guitar playing meets his multi-faceted distinctive voice, from loud to soft, from tender to rough, sometimes mystical and mysterious. He deals with the everyday, the interpersonal, only to calmly draw the bow to the great philosophical themes shortly afterwards. He addresses and names. Colbinger rocks. With unbridled enthusiasm, he takes his audience on a journey together, deeply touching, with a twinkle in his eye and always in the knowledge of the gift of life and the creative power of good. This is also his motto: "Let's get going and keep going."
In 2024/2025, Colbinger will be on his "Weit als die Sicht" tour, performing the songs from his current albums in the "Sünder, Pilger & Rebell" trilogy and reciting from his four books of poetry published to date. He began his extensive concert activities in 2017 and has since performed over 400 concerts in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
Along the way, he has shared the stage with Tito & Tarantula, Chris Slade, Mother ́s Finest, Alvin Lee, Eb Davis, Jesper Munk and Sophie Hunger, for example, and his songs are played on free, independent radio stations.
Ukulele preacher. Ukulelenprediger's program is very unconventional, musically exploring the meaning of existence. Lyrics such as "being dead is okay" or "living beings are miserable" seem disturbing at first, but are quite understandable in the overall concept. The music often jumps back and forth stylistically, even within one song, but always remains extremely groovy. Can you dance on your chair and indulge in philosophical musings at the same time? We try it out.
In an entertaining way that casts doubt on the mental health of the preacher, the audience is torn out of its established world view.
