Come Together. Interkultureller Theatertreff

In the organizer's words:

Come Together is an open intercultural theater program in Heidelberg.

The Theatertreff was founded in 2015. The aim at the time was to offer a theater program for young refugees in Heidelberg. Since then, people of different ages and backgrounds have come together every week to form a diverse group.

Having fun playing theater together is the top priority every other Monday: Exercises and small games from theater and experiential education are mixed with theater pedagogical methods, creating a safe space that enables creative experimentation and encounters in a special way.

Everyone is welcome to mingle with the colorful group!

About the organization:

At each meeting, there is an instruction team consisting of two people who design a unit - mostly (prospective) theater educators. It is possible to join in at any time, as the units are self-contained. All instructors volunteer their time at Come Together. Participants from the first hour now also take on small parts of the instruction.

In recent years, the group has been involved in various activities, e.g. the International Weeks against Racism at IZ Heidelberg or the Run4Unity.

The Theatertreff is looking forward to participating in future activities or organizing events that celebrate and enrich diverse life in Heidelberg.
