Creating Comics: An Evening Behind the Scenes

In 2025, Hamburg-based comic artists Magdalena Kaszuba, Moritz Wienert, and Wiebke Bolduan each received one of the work grants for literature and comics from the Hamburg Department of Culture and Media.

On this evening, the artists will not only offer insights into their comic projects but will also explore, together with professor and comic artist Marijpol, the question of how comics are created:

*How do you maintain—and when do you lose—the big picture when drawing
  a graphic novel?

*Is a comic book the result of diligent creativity
  or creative hard work?

The thematically appropriate book display
is provided by the Strips & Stories bookstore.
