Invitation to the free workshop: Community of Sounds

Experimental music-making in a community - is that even possible? Yes, if the focus is on listening, curiosity and exploring sound together.

For five days, the sound lab is dedicated to the challenges and opportunities of collective sound work. Piezo microphones are soldered, boxes, cans, crates and other found objects are transformed into DIY instruments.

A growing sound language is created in the collaborative process: how can these objects be used musically, how do they become part of a performance, how do individual sounds become a collective expression?
The workshop will conclude with a joint performance by the Community of Sounds in the WELTKUNSTZIMMER.

The workshop is free of charge.
Early registration is recommended.
No previous knowledge is required.

Workshop times during the week: approx. 19:00 - 21:00
Weekend: approx. 16:00 - 21:00
