True to the motto "more than just cinema", the double feature format combines live music and film.

Wes Anderson's coming-of-age comedy "Moonrise Kingdom" uses poetic images to tell the story of the awakening of adolescent love and the escape of two twelve-year-old "problem children" from a world of collapsing relationships, indifference and steep hierarchies. The seemingly peaceful idyll of the island community is put to the test by the escape of the two outsiders.

Wes Anderson said of Benjamin Britten's music that Britten's music had a huge influence on the film - the film was virtually tailored to it. References to Jim Jarmusch's cult film "Dead Man" are also woven in and build a bridge to William Blake's "Songs of Innocence and Experience", a manifesto for anti-hierarchical and artistic disobedience and absolute equality for all people.

The ensemble distr.action, consisting of 16 string instruments, celebrates this dismantling of rigid structures. Without a conductor and with chamber music verve, they interpret Benjamin Britten's music together with students from the J. S. Bach School of Music and create new forms from new contexts: The result is a concert performance that ties in with key moments in the film and guarantees a unique interaction.

A production by ensembledistr.action in cooperation with Schaubühne Lindenfels. Supported by Stiftung PrimaLaMusica. ensembledistr.action are professionally trained string players who have extensive experience in chamber music and orchestral playing and who, in addition to making music, also organize and design their own programmes. The ensemble is united by a common interest in alternative structures in the classical music scene, in collaborative creative processes in the design of projects and in the opportunity to reflect on socio-political issues through music and art. The collective primarily performs at alternative concert venues and formats and is always looking for interdisciplinary points of contact.
