It all starts with trust. In a secure footing. In being able to move through the world without bumping into anything. To be able to sit, walk or dance. A sixth sense that guides us confidently through life. But what happens when this confidence dissolves? IN-SIDE SENSE, the latest production by Cooperativa Maura Morales, tells the story. A dance theater piece for three dancers and a live musician, dedicated to the disturbing moments in which the self is suddenly no longer at home in its own body. When our carefree security starts to crack. Perhaps because we have experienced something disturbing. Perhaps because we are grieving, because we have been abandoned. Or because we are not wanted where we are. Choreographer Maura Morales recently presented EPICDERMIS at the Pumpenhaus. An evening about contact and touch, "an experience" (tanzweb). IN-SIDE SENSE now tells of the delicate threads between self, body and world. And about how quickly they can break.
