Fiordiligi loves Guglielmo, and Dorabella loves Ferrando. So far, so good—until the cynical Don Alfonso puts the young lovers’ devotion to the test with a wager. In*Così fan tutte*(in English:*That’s How Everyone Does It!*), Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and his librettist Lorenzo da Ponte poke fun at relationship clichés and reject the ideal of eternal fidelity.

Director Balázs Kovalik condenses the opera*Così*down to its recitatives: no arias, no frills. The focus remains entirely on the text. Thus,*Così*tells the story of young people searching for love and for answers: Who do we love? How do we love? And what happens when our love is toyed with?
