Cosplay Contest

One of the highlights of GamesFestiva24 is the cosplay contest.
Because there is almost nothing that has such a great synergy effect in nerd culture as video games and cosplay. Take part in the cosplay contest or simply drop by and see the most elaborate cosplays.

We are organizing the contest together with the Noris-Liga e.V.. Below you will find the registration procedure and all the necessary conditions of participation for the contest:

First of all you have to submit your application in due time following the rules, remember to mail all important pictures of your cosplay as well as reference pictures of the video game character. Then the jury, which consists of experienced cosplayers, will look at your submissions and get back to you if they have any questions. Otherwise, a team member will write back to you and give you all the important information and your starting number before the competition on Saturday.
On the day of the competition, Saturday 04.05.2024, you will then go to the pre-judging with your starting number and show the cosplay to the jury, who will evaluate your work in terms of:

• Overall impression
• workmanship
• effort
• Creative implementation of the template

So be sure to tell the jury about the things you are particularly proud of in your cosplay! After the pre-judging, the jury will sit together again and look through all the evaluation sheets to see which four people have achieved the highest score and have therefore won the competition in the following categories:

• "Best of Armor",
• "Best of Needlework"
• "Best Craftsmanship"
• "Judge Award"

At the subsequent Cosplay Walk 15:30-16:30 on the stage, all participating cosplayers can once again give their all and present their cosplay beautifully, as the four people who won the GamesFestival cosplay contest will be honored afterwards. We are particularly proud of the fact that all your prizes are from nerds for nerds! This means that the prize money is partly financed by the stand fees of the Artists' Mile and some artists have also provided a few non-cash prizes for you. So it's worth being there and presenting your cosplay.
