Dolls are more than just objects. They are carriers of memories, feelings and fantasies. During the pandemic, performer and visual artist Bunny Cadag discovered making dolls and handicrafts as a form of inner journey and as a healing activity. Both also play a central role in her artistic work - as in her piece "The Singer", which will premiere at Mousonturm on September 25 as part of "Sincerely Yours, the Phillippines".
In the run-up to the performance of "The Singer", Bunny Cadag invites you to a contemplative get-together where she will share her passion and her very personal way of making puppets. Workshop participants will be guided to create their own handmade puppets. Inspired by the spirit of the word "munimuni" (Tagalog for "to ponder", "to contemplate" or "to contemplate"), Bunny Cadag invites you to give shape to tenderness with stitches and to find space for personal expression in your handiwork.
This workshop is aimed at children, young people, caregivers, mothers, fathers, women, queer and trans people, older people and men who are open-hearted, sensitive and willing to participate in a creative and caring place. Previous sewing experience is not required.
