CREATIVE SESSIONS: What happens to the... Designszene

In the organizer's words:

It's that time again! On Thursday, February 22, we invite you to the next CREATIVE SESSION at PERLE. The theme of the evening this time is the city's design scene. Together with various players in the industry, we want to shed light on current trends and challenges as well as future opportunities for designers. You can register for free here!

Hardly any other sector of the creative industry has changed as much in recent years as the design industry. Various developments such as technologization, AI, climate change and social conflicts are reflected in the work of designers and the general scene climate. Reason enough to let innovators and creatives have their say and ask what is currently driving them. Among other things, we want to discuss the following questions: How has the job profile changed as a result of the AI boom? What are the current and future distribution/revenue channels in the industry? How are Munich residents who work in the design industry doing? How do you make the leap into the scene? And what about the future of Munich as a location?

Under the moderation of Mucbook editor Marco Eisenack, we want to discuss these topics together with creative entrepreneurs, networkers, representatives of industry associations, young talents and educators. For a diverse and interdisciplinary panel, we have the following players from the design industry as guests this time:

Matthias Edler-Golla, Professor of Design at Munich University of Applied Sciences

Matthias Edler-Golla has been a lecturer at various universities since 1997. In 2011, the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences (MMA course) appointed him as a full-time university lecturer, followed by his appointment at Munich University of Applied Sciences in 2012. In addition to the subjects "Interaction Design" and "Web Design" in the Bachelor's program, he also teaches "Ecology & Sustainability" in the Master's program.

In addition to the design and realization of websites, the conception and creation of graphical user interfaces is one of the focal points of his independent work. These interfaces are used in areas as diverse as car infotainment systems, expert systems in medical technology and embedded systems in the capital goods sector. The focus is on people who want to be able to handle these sometimes completely new technologies intuitively (human-centered design). Clients include companies such as Audi, BMW, Bosch, Continental, Nils Holger Moormann, Opel, Saab, Siemens, Sony and Winterhalter.
