The word "crip" comes from the English word "cripple" and is a reclaimed term that is a source of self-empowerment for many people with disabilities. In her lecture, curator Kate Brehme will talk about what designing exhibitions from a crip perspective in the context of visual art looks like for her and why it is more important than ever that disabilities are represented in art.
After the lecture, there will be a moderated discussion with Kate Brehme (Berlinklusion), Stefanie Wiens (Platz da!), Eric Beier (artist) and Anna Schulze-Hulbe (Curatorial Team Kunst fühlen).
