American Nick Rattigan aka CURRENT JOYS is coming to Europe for 3 shows in December. In addition to appearances in London and Paris, he will play at the Columbia Theater in Berlin on December 6.

"LOVE + POP" is the name of the new album, released on August 4, 2023 (via Secretly Canadian).

Rattigan is a towering creative force and a prolific songwriter, producer, performer and music video director who boasts a multitude of credits in each discipline. "LOVE + POP" will be CURRENT JOYS' tenth album in as many years.

CURRENT JOYS has been heavily inspired by LIL PEEP's music and working style in the creation of the new album. "LOVE + POP" also features a cover version of PEEP's "walk away as the door slams" as the album's opener. Rattigan describes a relentless, feverish pursuit to take that inspiration and make a sprawling, unexpected album, with "a classic CURRENT JOYS-style song and a ten-minute house track on the same record. All of these songs are also the demo of the song," Rattigan says. "They're the beginning and the end."

What began as a singular hobby project unexpectedly evolved into a unique collaboration record for CURRENT JOYS. Rattigan explains, "I've set out to make collaborative records before, but they often end up being all me, with a few exceptions. But this album gave me the opportunity to be extremely collaborative, to have other people write instrumentals and send out links for people to play around with and get involved. I sat down to write the credits and realized that this is where all these artists* and styles come together and work." The album features LIL YACHTY, LILY WEST (LALA LALA), SLOW HOLLOWS, among others.
