The keyboard virtuoso makes his debut on the fortepiano: Daniil Trifonov performs with the Berlin Baroque Soloists—an ensemble composed of members of the Berlin Philharmonic—and with the accomplished Baroque violinist Gottfried von der Goltz. Two early works from Beethoven’s Bonn period await discovery. These are complemented by dramatic orchestral pieces that, drawing on the Baroque tradition, boldly point toward the future.
