5 Jahre Bunt oder Blau: Theo Vandenhoff & Isla Ola

Dear friends,
after a somewhat longer break after the festival, which we really needed to take a deep breath and take care of other secondary things, such as private life and mental health (xD), we are very, very happy to fire the starting shot for a very special year with you on March 12th.

We've done a bit of math using all our brain cells and have come to the following conclusion:
Bunt oder Blau will be 5 (five) (🖐️) years old this year
Of course, this means that we want to throw lots of great parties to celebrate our first birthday with everyone who has been with us so faithfully for so long. It is still a great honor and an incredible gift for us to be able and allowed to do what we do. 🙏

So part 1 of the birthday on 12 March in our beloved Hirsch Q. Since the Q moved to the new venue a few meters away, there's a totally awesome event room for around 200 people in the back, which is literally made for really letting your hair down. xD

On this evening, we're looking forward to two bands that can be categorized as dark wave / post-punk, despite all caution when it comes to genre classification. Isla Ola from Dortmund and Theo Vandehoff from Toronto 😍

Isla Ola is a wave duo from Dortmund. Jesmari and Stefan play emotionally charged music full of intensity and depth. They describe their sound as "dreamy and narrative. Lost and cold. Dark and sad, strong and hopeful".

Theo Vandenhoff describe their sound as Dark & Romantic Toronto Post Punk. We've linked a video for you below.

Could definitely be the coolest 5th birthday you've ever been to!
