Long August is transformed into the AFRO HOUSE! - an evening with a colorful program:

5 pm: Open Doors + Gambian Food
6 pm: Afro dance workshop with FRESHER
8 pm: Afro-Pop Live in Concert with Aidara Seck
10 pm: Dj sets Downtown Djamila Brown, E.n0rm + special guest Barulho World

FRESHER is a passionate dancer and dance trainer with many years of experience. In his classes, he emphasizes technique, the joy of movement and the individual development of each participant. Whether beginner or advanced - everyone is welcome! All you need is comfortable clothing and non-slip dance shoes or sneakers. The important thing is that you feel comfortable and can move freely.

Aidara Seck is a singer, percussionist and entertainer. Coming from a family of traditional musicians - the griots - he was born drumming and singing, so to speak, and rhythm is his home. The multi-talented musician from Senegal enchants young and old with his velvety, warm voice. Whether soft tones to dream away to or powerful, rousing and dance-inducing: his songs are always full of positive energy and joie de vivre.

The event will take place in the hall behind the bamboo garden.

AFRO HOUSE is a project by Julia Rumi / Machbarschaft Borsig11 e.V. in cooperation with Langer August e.V., supported by Kulturbüro Dortmund and realized with the opportunities of the residents of the Borsigplatz quarter.
