The Red Sofa is the long-standing discussion format of the Hofgartenhaus theater museum. Guests from Düsseldorf's art and culture scene take a seat on an actual red sofa, which had its first life as a stage sofa in the Schauspielhaus. There they chat with Sascha Förster, the director of the TMD, about their careers, biographical anecdotes and current projects.

The new season of the Red Sofa starts with a highlight: Bridget Breiner and Raphaël Coumes-Marquet, who have been the new directors of the Ballett am Rhein together since this season, will be guests. Shortly beforehand, the ballet evening Signaturen will celebrate the premiere of the first production by their new directors. On the Red Sofa, they talk to Sascha Förster not only about their plans and visions for the Ballett am Rhein, but also about their biographies between dance, choreography and company management.

In keeping with the TMD's current special exhibition, Exzellente Fußarbeit. Ballett am Rhein meets Fortuna Düsseldorf, other members of Ballett am Rhein will be taking a seat on the Red Sofa until spring. The exhibition can be visited in front of the Red Sofa with the event ticket.
