DAT SALÓN #1 / An evening by Horst Jesué Wegener
Special guest: Curse
Thursday / June 18, 2026 / 8 pm (admission: 7 pm)
Admission: 22 (VVK incl. fees) and 25 (B.O.)
After three years part-time in Berlin, Wuppertal rapper and filmmaker Horst Jesué Wegener is back in the valley and is bringing a new cultural format with him:
With DAT SALÓN, he is launching a series of events at the INSEL that combines conversation, music and audience experience. In an intimate setting, he invites artists from all over Germany to Wuppertal to talk about music, biography and social issues, accompanied by live acoustic moments.
Instead of a long concert distance, the result is an approachable evening with a limited capacity. The focus is on conversation, music and genuine encounters between the stage and the audience.
The audience is deliberately limited to 199 guests to create a special atmosphere.
With DAT SALÓN, Horst Jesué Wegener bundles his work as an artist, filmmaker and cultural actor in a format that will bring artists from German-speaking countries to the INSEL in Wuppertal in the long term.
The special guest to kick off the series is none other than German rap legend Curse:
Michael "Curse" Kurth has been releasing music since 1998 and is considered one of the formative pioneers of German rap music. In addition to his artistic career, he is also an author, podcaster, speaker, systemic coach and meditation trainer.
His book "Stell dir vor, du wachst auf" became a top 10 Spiegel bestseller in 2018, his podcast "Meditation, Coaching & Life" regularly reaches a large audience and is dedicated to topics such as self-reflection, personal development and mindfulness.
An event by Horst Jesué Wegener in cooperation with INSEL.
