Shanel from Freiburg im Breisgau stands for uncompromising rap with depth and expression. As an artist with Roma and Vietnamese roots, she brings a perspective to the stage that cannot be pigeonholed - and that is precisely where her strength lies.
Her performances are direct, intense and carried by a presence that gets under your skin. What she does is not an act, but an expression: raw, honest and without compromise.
Whether on the main stage of Tapefabrik 2024 alongside Die P, as tour support or at shows in connection with Lena Stoehrfaktor's album - Shanel impresses with authenticity and consistency.
She is also part of the scene away from the stage, on "Momentaufnahmen 4" by Roey Marquis II and with her debut album "Löwenmähne", which was produced entirely by Roey Marquis II.
The sweetie from the South makes a clear statement between identity, attitude and reality - personal, biting and unmistakable.
Shanel doesn't fit into any pigeonhole - and that's exactly why she stays.
