What happens when two women meet who explore the pain thresholds of life and society like few others? Two women who combine politics, pop and personal experience and draw the funniest conclusions from it. Yes, what happens when Anna Dushime and Katja Lewina date on the stage of the Alte Feuerwache, i.e. get to know each other in a quick rhetorical duet of questions, and then talk about the art of a good break-up and relationship initiation in late capitalism? The private sphere is political, of course. But thinking cleverly about it and remaining hopeful in the process is another matter.

Anna Dushime is a journalist, podcaster and presenter. She works for organizations such as "Doctors Without Borders" and was awarded the Grimme Prize Special for her interviewing skills. Her book "1000 Last Dates" is reminiscent of her podcast "1000 First Dates". There, as here, the focus is not just on the stories, but on the people and their questions about the limits of what is permissible and impermissible. In the dating pool, social reality is reflected in all its beauty and baseness.

Katja Lewina is an author and caused a sensation with her book "Sie hat Bock" (She's up for it) because women's lust has rarely been written about in such a flippant and direct way. Her last book dealt with loss and dying, while the new book takes a different approach, collecting "break-up stories from hell" and asking for ways out. Both authors know how to bring consistent criticism of the situation to the people, wrapped in the cotton candy of an all-too-human narrative.
