Dead Meadow formed in Washington DC in 1998, coming together to fuse their love of Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath-style riffs with the local punk and DIY aesthetic of their hometown. They became early pioneers of what would become the modern psychedelic rock scene, and over the years have carved out a niche that only they can fill.
