At the Dead or Alive Slam, outstanding poetry slammers from all over the German-speaking world compete against deceased literary icons or literary figures. While some compete with their own texts, others send their works from the afterlife into the race - embodied by members of the Schauspielbühnen Stuttgart ensemble.

Moderated by Marius Loy, an evening between epochs, styles and temperaments unfolds. Classical meets contemporary, verse meets freestyle, Goethe meets borderline. And in the end, the audience decides:
