denXte: Künstliche Intelligenz - Was geht mich das an?

In the organizer's words:

Artificial intelligence is a key buzzword in current debates on the future of our societies. It is the subject of public negotiations and a projection screen for major topics and questions, for expectations and fears. What can it do? Who benefits from it? What risks does it entail? And how is it changing our society? This debate involves everyone, and it starts with the question: What's happening to me? Discuss with denXte and the Cyber and the City team! The trio, consisting of Prof. Dr. Ulrike von Luxburg, Prof. Dr. Thomas Thiemeyer & Tim Schaffarczik (all University of Tübingen), jointly curated the exhibition "Cyber and the City: Artificial Intelligence moves Tübingen", for which they received the Communicator Prize of the German Research Foundation in 2024.

denXte is an interactive philosophical lecture series in which renowned philosophers present socially topical and scientifically relevant issues in the form of thought experiments. At a typical denXte evening, everyone's opinions are called for: after a short thematic introduction by the philosophers, the audience is invited to explore their own intuition on the topic and - by voting with their smartphones and in a subsequent open discussion - to contribute their thoughts.

We recommend arriving early as there are only a limited number of seats. Admission starts at 6.30 pm.
