It's supposed to be a nice evening: Luca, Irene, Gabriel and Alexandra; a dinner for four. Good wine, good conversation, home-cooked instead of catered. Today it's just the two of them. Because besides the food, it's also about money. A lot of money. Gabriel, who has invited them to his stylish villa, is Luca's boss. Luca is his best man. If everything goes smoothly today, Gabriel will give Luca a deal. The lives of Luca, Irene and their two children will begin anew: in a different league, way up there. But for one of the four people, it's about much more than deals: it's about dignity, responsibility, shame, revenge and punishment. About something that never happened. Tonight is the night of reckoning. But what will tomorrow bring?

Lisa Wentz is one of the leading Austrian playwrights of her generation. She has won several major prizes, including the Retzhofer Dramapreis (2021) and the Nestroy-Autor:innenpreis (2022) for her play "Adern". Her plays combine linguistic precision with psychological depth; pointed dialog with a clear political stance. This commissioned work marks the author's first appearance in Germany. Following the success of "Wir haben es nicht gut gemacht" and "Bilder deiner großen Liebe", Susanne Frieling returns to the Kammerspiele with another sensitive and haunting directorial work.
