DER ALLEINSTEIN. Kinderlesung mit Hilde Biedermann

Talking about feelings is not that easy. Waldi the caterpillar has to learn this one morning when he carries a heavy stone on his back. Waldi sets off and meets other animals on her journey who are also carrying special stones: the Neinstein, the Kleinstein, the Weinstein. Each encounter tells of feelings such as sadness, insecurity or tiredness and of how feelings become lighter when they are shared. It is always about emotions, friendship and the power of community. The Alone Stone is an invitation to children and adults to discover, accept and talk about their own colorful feelings. A book that lives without explanations - and yet explains a lot.

Hilde Biedermann (*1992 in Staßfurt) is an illustrator and artist in her studio Hildahlia in Offenbach am Main. Hilde loves nature and the forest, which is also reflected in her work. They are rich in contrast, colorful and bold. In her studio, she creates mixed media art, children's book ideas and illustrations, commissioned works, creative experiments and various collaborations. Hilde has already been a guest in Giessen as part of the Picture Book Festival 2025 with her Sketchomat, an exhibition and several workshops.

The event takes place in cooperation with the Giessen City Library and the Giessen Picture Book Festival at the Giessen City Library (Berliner Platz 1, 35390 Giessen). Free admission . Access to the event is wheelchair accessible.
