The port of Mannheim is a central transshipment point for global flows of goods and thus also the scene of global interdependencies of business, labor and human rights. Together with international guests from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, we will show concrete lines of connection on a bicycle tour through the port:

• Stations: At various points around the port, we will highlight the links between local economic activity and global human rights issues, including BASF's platinum supply chain and the role of Heidelberg Materials.
• Topics: In addition to the working conditions in raw materials extraction, the situation in inland shipping and the historical significance of the Jungbusch as a working-class neighborhood will also be addressed.
