It's time for honesty. The more the Chancellor slows down climate protection, the closer climate communism comes. With this steep thesis, Miltiadis Oulios invites you to a lecture performance and debate. The efforts made so far to reduce greenhouse gas emissions are already insufficient to achieve the goal of climate neutrality by the middle of the century. Our societies in the industrialized nations in particular, which bear the greatest current and historical responsibility, must therefore take urgent action. However, the calls from experts that emissions reductions must be made quickly now are going unheard. In concrete terms, this can only mean legally limiting climate-damaging consumption in a spirit of solidarity. A solidarity that comes into conflict with everyday capitalist operations. The idea that the solution to the climate crisis could lie in a kind of climate communism has been circulating in debates on climate protection for several years - fueled by authors such as Andreas Malm and Kohei Saito.

In his book "Climate Communism. Gleichheit in Zeiten der Erderwärmung" (Unrast Verlag), Miltiadis Oulios brings these debates together and develops a concrete vision and practicable proposals. The author from Düsseldorf is on the road nationwide with "Climate Communism" at readings and organizes, among other things, the "Limit air travel" rallies at Düsseldorf Airport.
