Shy nerd Seymour Krelborn (Rick Moranis) seems to have hit the jackpot when he discovers a strange plant of extraterrestrial origin and puts it on display in Mr. Mushnik's flower store in the New York slums of Skid Row. The plant, lovingly named Audrey II by Seymour, grows to gigantic size and arouses the interest of the media and customers alike. However, things become complicated when Seymour discovers that Audrey II not only speaks, but even sings and only accepts one type of fertilizer: Blood! Based on a 60s cult horror film by B-movie legend Roger Corman, Frank Oz, long-time close collaborator of Muppets creator Jim Henson, directs the macabre material as a colorful musical comedy full of soul, swing and wit, with a terrific cast down to the smallest supporting role. A rousing cinematic delight, to be experienced in style at the (Dis)Harmonie on Valentine's Day!
