When Liliana Cavani's darkly romantic masterpiece IL PORTIERE DI NOTTE - DER NACHTPORTIER hit the big screen in 1974, it sent shockwaves whose tremors and tremors have not subsided to this day.
Now, 50 years after it was made, experience the film once again with full force in the cinema: Cinema Futuro is showing IL PORTIERE DI NOTTE - DER NACHTPORTIER (lovingly restored in the original version with German subtitles) on Monday, June 10 at 7:30 pm in the Stuttgart city center cinemas, in the Cinema high above the nocturnal Schlossplatz. Embedded in a particularly romantic supporting program put together especially for this cinema evening. With cool free drinks and extremely intimate discussions after the movie in the foyer with a view over the city.
IL PORTIERE DI NOTTE - THE NIGHT PORTER is the seemingly impossible love story between Holocaust survivor Lucia (Charlotte Rampling) and the Nazi officer Max (Dirk Bogarde), who once tortured her in the camp. Lucia recognizes her tormentor many years later in Vienna. Max works unrecognized as a night porter in a Viennese hotel. Against all reason, she begins a sadomasochistic relationship with him, which opens up abysses from which there seems to be no escape.
An incomparable Vienna film, an ultra-romantic ride from hell that you will never forget.
On Monday, June 10 at 7:30 pm at Cinema Futuro.
