Follow in the footsteps of democracy in Hanover. Where and how did citizens and workers fight for freedom, co-determination and democratic rights in 1848/49? On this city tour, we take a look at the significance of well-known places in the history of democracy, such as Leineschloss and Ballhof. At the same time, we will come across almost forgotten locations: what is the story behind the "Constituents' Assembly" in Osterstraße? Find out how courageous people defied censorship and oppression - and why the rights they fought for were often lost more quickly than hoped.
