The exhibition, curated by Jessica Gilles, the scientific volunteer at KIT, brings together four international artistic positions that deal with the material and ornamental dimensions of textiles in different ways. The starting point for all four artists is the combination of different working methods with textiles in contemporary art. The focus is on the material nature and formal language of the works, which are drawn from nature, culture and tradition. The works on display are partly designed specifically for the special tunnel architecture of the KIT. Some of the invited artists also work performatively.
