In the setting of the Scottish bar where the play is set, we will belt out all-time favorites into the microphone - and really feel Prudencia's bizarre experiences!

Play description: At the winter solstice, the young, somewhat buttoned-up literary scholar Prudencia Hart travels to a conference on "Romantic Border Ballads" in the tranquil town of Kelso in Scotland. Prudencia has prepared her weather app for the driving snow, but she never expected where and to whom the journey would actually take her: In snowed-in Kelso, she goes from being an academic observer of the vain and occasionally bizarre conference society to the heroine of her own ballad when, through a rift in time, she stumbles into a bed & breakfast run by the devil himself.
With wild, imaginative wit, David Greig has written a ballad that takes the form of the ballad itself for a very modern ride: Couple rhymes collide with karaoke, devilish encounters with Kylie Minogue and plenty of sambucas. A lyrical, seductive, philosophical and comically audacious comedy with live music.

"The Curious Case of Prudencia Hart" premiered in 2010, has since been performed many times in the English-speaking world and is receiving its German premiere at the bremer shakespeare company.
