The servant is born a lucky child. It must be so, otherwise how would he have just jumped from the brink of death? With a happy heart he sets out: "If this continues, the king's daughter will become my wife." This is promptly brought to the attention of the king, who had imagined his son-in-law differently. A runaway with the princess? That must be prevented! With combined forces, the entire court tries to give the servant tasks that he should actually fail at. They even send him to hell. But his luck always leads the unsuspecting man back to life and to his beloved. Is it fate or is the devil's grandmother behind it all?

"The Devil with the Three Golden Hairs" tells of the childish dream of being invulnerable and shows what can be gained by those who courageously face a perilous world. This extremely linguistic adaptation of the Grimm fairy tale was penned by F. K. Waechter, who captures the whole world down to hell in large social pictures. The author and illustrator was one of the most frequently performed German playwrights in the 1990s, he wrote children's books, but it was above all his satirical drawings that made him famous. Director André Kaczmarczyk (among others "Cabaret", "Alice") will stage the 1981 "Devil with the Three Golden Hairs" as enchanting theater for everyone from 6 years on the big stage.
