Death comes knocking: Nat receives an unexpected visitor. Death enters through the window and comes for him. But he's new at his job. As a clever businessman, Nat recognizes his opportunity and challenges him to a game of rummy. In the end, Nat has not only won 28 dollars, but also time. Death demands revenge. Once again, Woody Allen parodies the first and last things in this one-act play without losing sight of their deep seriousness.
An unfortunate coincidence: Is it just an unfortunate coincidence that Penelope has shot her husband?
She wants help and advice from her friend Camilla, but cannot admit to the crime. Camilla's husband Roger joins in. But a murder doesn't fit into his life. An absurd marriage game in which, in the end, two exhausted wives have done away with their husbands. But even after this "act of liberation" they are not really free.
