Every child knows Pippi Longstocking, the strongest girl in the world and the best-known character from the popular children's author Astrid Lindgren. Tens of thousands of visitors have seen previous productions of Pippi Longstocking at the JTB.
A few weeks have passed since Pippi Longstocking decided to stay at Villa Kunterbunt with her monkey Mr. Nilsson and her horse Little Uncle. Pippi often meets up with Tommi and Annika, and the adults in the village now treat her with much more respect. Mrs. Prysselius in particular has not forgotten her encounter with Pippi's dad, Captain Longstocking.
But one day, Pippi receives a message in a bottle from her father calling for help. Pirates have captured the Hoppetosse and taken him prisoner. He is now stuck in a dungeon in Porto Piluse on the island of Taka-Tuka and asks his daughter to free him. Pippi can hardly refuse her father's request. Together with Tommi and Annika, she sets to work and builds a real Myskodil, a pedal-powered flying machine - with room for the three children, Mr. Nilsson and Little Uncle.
