Menopause is not a marginal topic - it is part of the lived reality of millions of women, trans*, inter* and non-binary people. And yet they are often marginalized or taboo in public discourse, in the world of work and even in the healthcare system.

This panel discussion aims to change that:
We are bringing menopause to the center of social attention and political debate. Together with Grischka Voss, Faduma Korn, Dr. Jessica Stewart-da Coll and the Munich Health Collective, we will talk about medical care, cultural narratives, ageism - and why this phase of life deserves visibility, resources and recognition.

Grischka Voss is a freelance actress and author from Vienna, in short: "One-Woman-Company", whose work deals with socio-political taboo topics with a focus on feminist issues. She is currently touring with two one-woman plays about female desire and female bodily fluids as well as about the menopause, with which she wants to empower everyone who feels female. Biography: Grischka Voss (D) actress, author, director 1993-1995 training in acting and dance in New York and Vienna 1996 Akademietheater, "Ballade vom Wiener Schnitzel"/George Tabori; Volkstheater "Cyrano de Bergerac"/ Michael Schottenberg 1997-2017 the independent artist founded and directed "das bernhard ensemble" together with Ernst Weigel, which was based at "Das OFF Theater" in Vienna from 2006. She sees herself as an independent storyteller with strong social concerns, has created numerous plays for the bernhard ensemble, with which she has performed at home and abroad, plays, directs and usually also designs the stage and sets for her productions. In 2017, she left the bernhard ensemble, appeared as an actress and author in "Ganymed female" at the Kunsthistorisches Museum Vienna, at the Gmunden Summer Festival with "Noch ein Fest für Boris", wrote her autobiography "Wer nicht kämpft, hat schon verloren" (Amalthea Verlag), from which she has read at the literature festival "Blätterwirbel" at the Theater in der Josefstadt and at the Schaubühne Berlin, among others. In 2018, she wrote and performed a monologue for Veronika Glatzner's project "Habenichtse" in the Fasanviertel on the topic: is the recycling trend leading to a new form of capitalism? She has also been writing articles for the Salzburger Nachrichten since 2017. In 2019, she wrote the offensive one-woman play "Bulletproof" about women's lust and their constant oppression, which she premiered and performed at Theater Drachengasse in Vienna in January 2020. 2021 new edition of "Ich bin kein Papagei" (Amalthea Verlag), for which she wrote the epilogue, revival of "Bulletproof" at Theater Drachengasse 2022/2023 she wrote a play about women's menopause, entitled "F*ING HOT!", which premiered at Theater Drachengasse. This was followed by numerous guest performances with F*ING HOT! within Austria and a revival at Theater Drachengasse. In "Ganymed Bridge" she played a monologue by Teresa Präauer (directed by Jacqueline Kornmüller), in the project "Lagerkollaps" she played the self-written monologue "Storebox-Mom" under the direction of Veronika Glatzner. She also appeared in a "Tatort" directed by Katarina Mückstein and the TV film "Ewig Dein", directed by Johanna Moder, as well as in the mini-series "Kafka", directed by David Schalko. With director Stefan Manuel Eggenweber she shot the feature film "Zwei verletzte Tiere im Wald". In 2024, she wrote the play "Ein Albtraum in zwölf Bildern" for director Barbara Herold on the subject of abortion (premiere at the Altes Hallenbad in Vorarlberg) In 2025, she worked with director Dani Levy on the feature film "Kochschule Schwarz" and was selected from 400 international applicants as a performer for Marina Abramović. Until March 1, 2026, she reanacted four of Marina Abramović's early performances at the Albertina Modern. Prizes: Nestroy for Best Off Theater Production 2001, numerous other nominations

The Munich Health Collective is committed to the establishment of a solidarity-based district health center in Munich. The focus is not only on individual behavior, but also on the social and structural conditions of health. How these aspects can be considered and reflected in healthcare is a central question of their work.
