Movement, enthusiasm and Bonn right in the middle of it all - German Post Marathon Bonn

On April 19, Bonn will become a pulsating stage for sport, encounters and real goosebump moments. The Deutsche Post Marathon Bonn is one of the biggest running events in the region and combines top sporting performance with an open, urban event feeling. A rousing atmosphere is created along the route, which inspires runners as much as the many spectators - and gets the whole city moving.

The varied program invites everyone to take part or cheer on: whether marathon, half marathon, 10-kilometre run, marathon relay, walking, hand biking or inline skating - everyone will find the right discipline here. A special highlight is the Deutsche Post School Marathon, in which schoolchildren can take part free of charge. The focus is not on performance alone, but on the shared experience, the joy of exercise and the feeling of being part of a big city festival.

The route leads through Bonn on the right and left bank of the Rhine, through the city center to the Rheinaue and shows the federal city from its sportiest side. The start is on the Belderberg in front of the Koblenz Gate, and the emotional finish on the market square in front of the Old Town Hall creates a real festival atmosphere.

A special extra: in 2026, the marathon will be complemented by carnival elements that will lend the running day a typically Rhineland lightness and good mood.
Whether active on the course or cheering on the sidelines - the Deutsche Post Marathon Bonn stands for diversity, community and a day on which the whole of Bonn celebrates sport together.
