DFD Festival 2026 Fashion Show: Fashionette

fashionette offers a curated selection of international luxury and premium brands—from iconic handbags to shoes and jewelry, all the way to select fashion pieces. During Düsseldorf Fashion Days, we’re putting the handbag—the centerpiece of every look—in the spotlight and telling its story in a new, emotional way. After all, fashion and art share the common goal of making emotions visible, expressing personality, and imbuing objects with meaning.

Together with three local artists, we’re creating a runway presentation in which selected “hero bags” serve as the starting point for an artistic interpretation. Drawing on the emotion evoked by a particular bag, each artist develops a unique piece. Each piece opens a new segment of the show and serves as creative inspiration for the subsequent looks.

In this context, the accessory becomes more than just a styling element: it becomes an emotional impulse, an art object, and a connecting moment between art and fashion. The artistic works by Galina Dimitrova, Ruben Benjamin Smulczynski, and Klara Virnich set the stage for the emotional narrative that continues in the following looks and highlights fashionette’s signature style as a platform for select luxury fashion and accessories.
