Día de Muertos | Themen- und Familientag Mexiko
In the organizer's words:
On Día de Muertos, the Mexican Day of the Dead, the souls of the deceased return to earth to celebrate a lively party with relatives and friends.
Join us on Saturday, November 11, 2023 to celebrate Día de Muertos at Museum Five Continents.
You can expect:
- Live music by Mariachi Azteca and Las Calaveras
- Mexican folk dances by the folk dance group CIMA
- lectures about Día de Muertos in Mexico
- Sugar skull workshops for children
- Face painting for children
- Mexican specialties
- Mexican handicrafts
Of course, an ofrenda, a richly decorated gift table in honor of the dead, is not to be missed.
The exhibitions are open until 6 pm.
Tickets can be purchased at the museum box office beginning October 28. Info on tickets and family passes is available on the museum's website.
The Mexico Theme and Family Day is held in cooperation with the Mexican-German Circle in Bavaria.
