Gene and cell therapies are revolutionizing medicine - they intervene deeply in the biological causes of diseases and open up new opportunities for cures. At the same time, however, they pose ethical and social questions: How far do we want to intervene in our genes? Who benefits from these innovations? Who has access to the new therapies?

As part of the Science Year 2026 "Medicine of the Future", the Berlin Institute of Health at Charité (BIH) is hosting a panel discussion on the MS Wissenschaft. Experts from research, medicine, politics and society will discuss the possibilities, limits and future prospects of modern medical technologies - in direct exchange with the audience.
