Text and direction: Nele Stuhler and Jan Koslowski
From antiquity to the present, from east to west or north to south, through the layers of history - all roads lead to Rome (via Frankfurt), or would you prefer to go to Monaco? It doesn't matter! Happiness is on the road... and even if you think you're on the wrong track, the wrong way or the wrong path, you won't contradict the guide!
A group of disparate companions set off on a search for clues in order to investigate the history and stories of Frankfurt on the city's widely ramified main and side streets, trade routes and alleyways. A journey through time and space on and across the critical infrastructure that connects and holds everything together - the street. And of course, every well-organized trip needs a travel guide to avoid French faux pas, greasy potholes and nasty traps.
After completing their Frankfurt food trilogy ("Der alte Schinken", "1994. Futuro Al Dente" and "Der kleine Snack"), the writing and directing duo Stuhler/Koslowski open a new chapter with their latest play "Die Affäre auf der Straße nach Monaco / L'affare di via Monaco" and return to Schauspiel Frankfurt for what is now their fourth work.
