The idea behind this expert discussion is to discuss current trademark law issues facing startups and scaleups in small groups in a relaxed setting. The focus is particularly on the protection of trademarks and business names, how these can be protected territorially during the startup or expansion phases, and what research and funding opportunities are available.

To begin, each participant will present a key insight or pain point from their perspective. These insights will be collected, organized, and then analyzed collectively. Specialists from the law firm IPrime will also prepare brief presentations on several current or recurring issues, pitfalls, and challenges.
