The purpose of this expert discussion is to discuss current issues related to patent and inventor rights faced by startups and scaleups in small groups in a relaxed setting. The focus is particularly on protecting inventions as patents and utility models, how these can be protected territorially during the startup or expansion phases, and what research and funding opportunities are available.

To begin, each participant will present a key insight or pain point from their perspective. These insights will be collected, organized, and then analyzed collectively. Specialists from the law firm IPrime will also prepare brief presentations on some current or recurring issues, pitfalls, and challenges.
