Museum director Friederike Kaiser reports on how the conversion project was implemented and gives an insight into the future exhibition program.
The conversion of the listed building on the Isar was intended to create a modern and open museum that inspires people inside and outside the Alpine Club to engage with the Alps and mountain sports. A new permanent exhibition, a library open to all, a café and a park invite visitors to do so. The museum's first special exhibition is dedicated to the topic "Future Alps. Global warming".
