Elfriede, an old cat lady who lived in the little robber's house near Bosseborn with her three friends for many years, fulfills her greatest wish in old age. She sets off for Bremen to finally find the city of her dreams.
On her journey, she comes to our theater and tells the young and old audience her very own story: How she met Jochen the donkey, Sonja the dog and Frieder the cockerel many years ago. They all had a common fate. Because they were old and no longer good for anything, they were to be chased away or even removed from the fodder. And so the four decided to join forces in friendship and move to Bremen. Because in Bremen, they told themselves, you could still enjoy your old age as a town musician.
But things turned out differently, because they found the robber's house, which was a good place to live, and forgot their dream. Only Elfriede the cat has not forgotten it...
