This dazzlingly dark gangster epic is about two underdogs who break all the rules to find themselves. The theater project deconstructs scenes from the "film noir" genre with a wink, combines them with the harsh present and follows the ultimate desire to escape the world.

The American film style "film noir" was a reaction to the social and political upheavals after the Second World War, when social structures and gender roles were in a state of flux. During the war, women who had stayed at home took over the jobs of the absent men in order to support themselves and their families. This gave rise to a new female independence that the traumatized men who had returned found difficult to deal with. This deconstruction of the family and the new roles of women are reflected in the characters of "film noir".
