In the organizer's words:
In an American vacation hotel in the 1960s, a naive doctor's daughter falls in love with a dancer from a social milieu that is questionable, especially from her father's point of view. She stands in for his partner and converts her father from his prejudices. The surprise success of the 1987/88 cinema season turns out to be a bland entertainment film in terms of both content and form, which attempts to combine light indecency with sentimental morals, but which has quite obviously hit a "zeitgeisty nerve" in its presentation of dance scenes and love romance with a happy ending.
