Die Linie: meine Sprache - Gianmarco Ammirata

The exhibition "The line: my language" shows minimalist drawings by architect and artist Gianmarco Ammirata. It can be seen from April 30 to May 23 at the Kungerkiez Gallery in Berlin.

Ammirata's artistic work is strongly influenced by his architectural practice, in which the line serves as an essential means of expression. Drawing becomes an exploratory process in which he develops his own visual language - reduced to basic graphic elements that go beyond pure representationalism.

The works presented move in the field of tension between abstraction and structure. Spaces, surfaces and patterns make the connection between mind and body tangible. This creates traces of presence that are condensed into an elementary gesture: the line. It is precisely in its reduction that it opens up new spaces of perception and invites calm, intense contemplation.
